About the Department
Established in 2007, along with the inception of Kabikankan Mukundaram Mahavidyalaya, the Department of Sanskrit has been a cornerstone of the institution's academic pursuits. With 6 highly qualified and experienced faculty members, the department is committed to preserving the classical essence of Sanskrit while embracing modern pedagogical practices. It offers 3-year major courses in alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, ensuring students gain a comprehensive understanding of Sanskrit language, literature, and philosophy.
The department integrates innovative teaching methods and utilizes ICT tools to create an interactive and effective learning environment. Regular student seminars, alongside add-on courses, provide students with opportunities to engage deeply with the subject and develop additional skills. Since its establishment, the Department of Sanskrit has focused on continuously enhancing the quality of teaching and learning, blending traditional wisdom with contemporary relevance to prepare students for academic and professional success.
